An uninvited guest

Yesterday evening a black and white cat sat outside our catyard staring at our four cats. They were all out in the catyard of course, to check out the possible intruder. Bekka took the lead in trying to chase the cat away from her territory. But the cat didn't run away until I showed up. I bet our furry friends will watch the garden closely today :-)

Birdie Nam Nam

Occasionally we find all four furry friends gathered together. This is their bird window and their are watching the birds eating lunch outside. Furry heads moving from one side to another. Ears and eyes intensly focused on the big event outside. If I didn't knew better I'd say they are watching a game of tennis.

A cute guy!

Truls is growing fast. He's 5 months old and weighs about 3,3 kilos. Acting like a big tough guy but often finds the world big and even a bit scary. Like all kittens do :-)

Five months today!

Wow! Tempus fugit or time flies in English. Battus and Truls are five months today. It seems like yesterday when they moved in with us. I remember vividly the big fuzz that Bekka and Beverly made when the kittens arrived.
And now its like they've always lived here.

Does he know his place yet?

I think the cats long for spring and summer just as much as we humans do. They will love it when all the bugs, flies and all the other creepy stuff comes back after the long and cold winter. For now they are playing around indoors and outdoors, in the snow. Truls is quite stubborn these days and a real trouble maker. I often find him and Beverly fighting. all over the house. Last night they woke me up, fighting on top of me, in my bed. My beatuiful Beverly really has her paws full in making sure Truls knows his place :-)

Showmanship

This is Battus and Truls admired by the spectators at the cat show. I think it was quite an adventure for them after all :-). Here the judge is just about to decide the ranking in this group.

At the cat show

Both Battus and Truls did really well at the Skogkattslingan's cat show last week. They competed against each other. Battus was judged EX2 as the judge found him a bit more developed than his brother. Truls was judged EX3. Both of them got really good judgements, They seem to have cooped very well with the new strange situation, being at the show and all. But they were reaally happy to get back home again :-) This photo is from Jan 5, at the cat show. As for myself, I was attacked by a big Ara parrot who desparately tried to find somewhere to land in the bird section at the show. But that's another story... :-) //Katharina

Bekka and Beverly were born in Värmland 1 year ago today. They are both beautiful young ladies and very much loved.

There is a life after bath

Yes, there is a life after the bath! Its hard to imagine during the actual bath, as the poor cat sounds like I'm trying to kill him/her. Well, I try to make the bath as swift and gentle as I possibly can. And afterwards they jump up and down, even in the shower, like the bath never happened. Both Truls and Battus have had their bath and are now ready for tomorrow's show. That will be fun!

Time for bath

This is Battus. He is a big guy now, weighs about 2,1 kilos. He is happily unaware of the coming bath (tomorrow). I wonder if it will be a struggle or a big struggle... Truls will also take a bath. It's showtime on Monday and they need to look faboulus.
