Day 2

When the morning sun presented itself in our bedroom our cats decided - it's to wake up humans, so they started chasing each other across the bed and played catch with our toes. When we still didn't open our eyes they started to meow and Rune joined them. A number of toys had been collected by Beverly from the house and were now laying in our bed. After a while Bekka went downstairs and started making her special "bird-twirping" sound to call our attention. Katharina went downstairs with Beverly alongside hoping for more fun. And yes, her cat sister was waiting inside the "playtunnel" so she started to poke the outside of the tunnel while Bekka did the same from the inside. And so far the day is progressing the same way...

They seem to be eating, drinking and sh... as they are supposed to. We will start tracking their weights on a regular basis to make sure they are growing as they should. The cat drinking fountain is popular and Beverly has managed to fall into her water bowl. Drinking from a water faucet is also popular. So far everything indoor is still new and exiting but in a while we expect them to show more interest for the outside world. So Rune needs to purchase building material for the enclosure outside.

A playful first day

Yesterday we picked up our kittens, Bekka and Beverly at Djupdalen’s Cattery. Sabina and Robert have done a tremendous work with the all the kittens. They are in a very good condition, curious, energetic and simply adorable. Thank you Sabina and Robert for all your support and for a very nice time yesterday! We really appreciate it.

So, now our two kittens are finally here. They are full of energy and have spent their first day in their new home playing and investigating every corner of our house. It is amazing to see how quickly they have made themselves at home. It’s like they’ve always lived here.

We have to admit we are a bit tired today as Bekka and Beverly kept us awake last night. They wanted to play all night long. They brought all their toys to our bed and made a lot of noise to make sure we didn’t fall asleep.
We’ve found out that Beverly is a daring kitten and very fond of cheese. At the show in Gothenburg last Saturday she took the cheese from the judge’s sandwich. That’s the way to go girl!

First entry

This is the start of a new blog dedicated to our soon to be cats. We, K & R, are situated somewhere in the middle of Sweden. The purpose of publishing information about our Norwegian Forest Cats is to make it easier and more fun to collect and share stuff that is interesting for ourselves, family, friends and perhaps other cat lovers around the world. And since we have taken part of other cats life on the web, especially YouTube, we thought why not try to give back some of the joy we experienced. We have not yet presented ourselves with full names but perhaps in the future we will decide to do this.
