Happy birthday Bekka & Beverly!

 

These two cat ladies are turning 4 today. I can't believe they are already that old. Feels like they moved in with me - and in my heart - just the other day. But on the other hand it seems like ages ago.  They are adorable cats!!!!!

Naughty Battus

Puhhhh... This little guy is sooo cute but sometimes he is a handfull. Early this morning - and I mean EARLY, like 3 a.m - he woke us all up. He was picking fights with everyone, even with Truls. And of course all the fights took place in my bed - on top of me. I think he was mad at me for going to bed really early yesterday. So he took it out on his mates. But we all still love him!!! 

From all of us to all of you: Merry Christmas

Wow...How time flies.... I cannot believe it's already Christmas Eve. We just got up and I gave my furry friends their Christmas breakfast: some horrible stuff in sauce that they absolutely love. They emptied their bowls in no time.

And talking about  time... In only a couple of weeks Bekka and Beverly will turn 4. Wow...

Ooppss here comes Truls. Apparently he wants to help me write this so I better stop now :)

Grooming time

The bad weather continued today. So what is a cat to do then? Well, why not take the opportunity to groom one of the play mates? This is Bekka, taking on her beloved sister :-)

Rain means lots of trouble...

Ahhhh....Today has been a really rainy day. And then I mean REALLY rainy. And stormy. And cold. The cats hate this weather and they take it all out on each other. They started already at 5 in the morning. They were fighting like crazy, mostly Truls and Beverly. I don't know how many times I had to get up to separated them... OMW, I was soooo tired...

Here they are. This is from this afternoon, just before they started a new fight...

A helping paw

Today the new cat tree arrived. Of course all four cats wanted to help out with putting it together. But sadly the top piece (a crucial part no doubt) was not OK so we weren't able to finalize it today. But the little 'house' was ´put into place and Battus took his afternoon nap in there.

Watching out in the middle of the night

Bekka spends more and more of her time now out on the balcony. She is the 'wildest' of the four, I think. Already as a kitten she loved to stay outdoors. I woke up in the middle of the night a couple of days ago. I got up to get some water and guess who I saw out on the balcony? Yes, that's right. Miss Bekka Fenwick!

Don't bite my nose!

I often call Beverly 'my little monkey'. That's because she loves to climb everywhere, just like a monkey. Right now she has this idea that it is great to bite my nose. I don't get it... But she loves to groom me and she grooms my face, arms and whatever parts she can get at. And apparently my nose fits perfectly for her purpose... What can I say? She simply is adorable!!!!

Finding the most cosy spot

Well, what can I say... Cats are experts on finding the most comfy and cosy spot. Battus thought it was a super great idea to make my t-shirts his new cosy spot... Cute!

Size matters...or maybe not

Although Truls is the biggest one he is not all that cocky. When the cats are having their afternoon nap I often stumble over big bumps under the carpets. Like this one. For some reason Truls loves to crawl under the carpets when he wants to nap. And there he sleeps for hours. I don't see how that can ever be comfy. So nowadays I always watch out for big bumps at home :-) //Katharina

The sun is back!

Mmmmm...I simply love to watch cats enjoying the sun. I don't think I know of any other animal that loves the sun like cats do. This is Battus and his best friend Beverly, waking up after a long nap in the sun. As always, Beverly is eager to groom her playmates. And Battus doesn't seem to mind - at all.

Nothing beats a great nap

Oh, it's been a long while now since I updated the cat blog. We have finally settled in with our new life and all. The furry gang seems to like their new home although I suspect they miss their big cat yard... But they do have a fairly big balcony that's fenced in. And now, as the spring is finally here, they spend more and more time out there. When they are done playing, hunting bugs, fighting and whatnot... it's really nice and cosy to take a nap on the sofa. This is Battus napping. He is so cute my little teddy bear I could hug him forever!

A new playground

This is Truls, playing in my bed with his favourite toy. My bed has become the new playground and they all love to run around on the bed and under the covers. And I must admit.... he looks pretty in pink!

On watch

So now we have moved, all four cats and I. The trip (550 km by car) went well considering. The cats seem to adjust pretty well although I suspect they still miss their big catyard. But I have had the balcony fenced. It's a big balcony, viewing big trees and green fields. I know there are lots of birds, we have seen and heard them.
So far so good...

A newly bathed and very happy cat

Before the big move to Skåne, all cats will have their bath. Battus was first. He was so brave but also very happy when it was all over. Here he is, drying in the warm sun, sitting in a chair in a big towel. Cute!
